Just Cute

Caleb is just so cute. I love squeezing him and kissing those chubby cheeks. He smiles at everyone. He is just such a happy sweet little guy. I've been thinking a lot about what would happen if someone had showed me my future, and if that would have changed the choices I made. I think for the most part, no. I would take all the health issues and have Caleb again. There may be choices I made in college I would change, but anything that would take me away from what I have now and what I am now, I wouldn't change because I feel like I am in the best place I can possibly be.

Car Man

David is always racing cars and carrying cars around and playing with cars and talking about cars and sleeping with cars. Edmund thankfully got a picture of him sleeping with his cars. Every night he says, "I want cars." We bring him a couple, and he says, "No! I want TOO MANY CARS!"  My sister gave us this little beach house that has cute little sea creatures inside, but lately, David uses it to carry his favorite cars around the house. He got a little green Datsun for Christmas and it is cute to hear him say, "Where is my Datsun?" He also has a hot rod that looks a bit like Ramone from Cars. Edmund rolls his "r's" when he says it, so David buzzes his lips and then adds a "mone." "bbbbbbbbbt mone."

Jonathan

Jonathan just loves Caleb. He loves laying on the ground and making Caleb laugh and listening to his funny baby shrieks. Today in church the primary president pulled me aside and said, "Does Jonathan go by Randal at home?" "What?" I said. "He told his new primary teachers his name is Randal." "Oh!" I said and laughed. I explained to her that Jonathan loves Monster's Inc. He was feeling grouchy this morning and wanted us to call him Randal. It is funny he told his primary teachers to call him Randal too. He didn't want to eat his dinner tonight and he said, "Randal doesn't eat his dinner!"

Happy New Year!!

The boys and I made new years hats. Jonathan wanted his name, so I wrote their names in glue and drew a little picture of whatever they wanted. Jonathan wanted  a transformer (he is really into transformers; even though he's never seen a show or movie of them. He is always talking about Autobots and Decepticons.I got a couple of books from the library for him, and he loves them! He also always gets Superman books.)  David wanted Gordon from Thomas and Friends, and Jonathan said that Daddy wanted a count down. Jonathan and David did their own glitter. It was a crazy mess, but fun!

Jonathan didn't like having the elastic under his chin, so he just balanced it on his head. He was trying to tell me about it while I was taking the picture. Caleb was ready for bed, so I just wanted a picture, but we all had to stop and listen to Jonathan. He is always frowning like that. I feel like I have to say, "Smile, Jonathan!" or sing the "If you chance to see a frown" song.

We drank from plastic champagne glasses and ate chocolates. I also got some noise makers. The boys loved tooting their horns. Edmund found a four minute countdown video on Netflix that played dancey music and had the lemurs from Madagascar dancing. The boys did a great job shaking their hips and jumping around. Very good little dancers.

There are piles and piles of snow this year. We have a ten foot tall heap in the middle of the round part of our cul-de-sac. I've been too wimpy to go out and take a picture because it has been below zero for the past week. Edmund and I dated during a winter that had huge piles of snow. I remember driving down Poleline in Rexburg. It was like a luge. There were walls of snow 8-10 feet tall on either side of the road. Anyway, piles of snow make me remember how magical it was to fall in love. I'm so glad I did too. Thanks to my sweetie for the best 6.5 years of my life!
