Fall

Here are some pictures of our fun fall! Balloons in the crib, Jonathan's fancy haircut, Caleb climbing into the bath with his clothes on, Caleb turning over a bowl so he can reach the counter, eating root beer float Popsicles, painting pumpkins and visiting the pumpkin patch. Also, some random food pictures. I've been getting so much better at cooking, so I take pictures when I'm feeling proud. The best was Edmund's sister Angela and her husband came to visit. I wish I had more pictures. I loved going on walks and looking for birds! The boys adore their Auntie Angela!

Thanksgiving

We made our annual trip down to GJ for Thanksgiving. My family was nice enough to run the Turkey Trot with me. We had a blast! There were 1500 people signed up to run. It was cool standing at the start with my family and seeing those that didn't run at the finish cheering me on, and those that finished ahead of me waiting at the end. They even did a little gobbler run before the 5k. Jonathan and David made valiant efforts. Jonathan had a fever the day before, so I was surprised he was able to run at all. I was also shocked by how fast my oldest brother was and also my nieces and nephews that ran. WOW! They really cruised.

Edmund took the boys with my Dad to the dinosaur museum, and I got to take a hike with my mom. We also celebrated Christmas one morning with Grandma-Chelle and Bubba. I have a bunch more pictures on my phone, and I hope to add them soon! I have never been so homesick in my life. I wish I lived in GJ with all my family. I miss them so so so much! It was hard to leave.

Halloween

We looked at a lot of pumpkin pictures before Jonathan and David picked. Jonathan wanted a white pumpkin this year, and he wanted to drill holes in it. Jonathan was Electro. We bought a green sweat-suit and made it a costume with duct tape. David was a lion. It was a super cute costume that my mom made for my nephew Newell about ten years ago. The family has been passing it around, and it is holding up great. David refused to wear the costume at first, but once he decided that he was a truly adorable, he never wanted to take it off. He wore it for three days straight. Caleb was a monkey. It is another costume my mom made. I have loved seeing all three of my boys wearing it. Caleb also loved his costume and wanted to wear it all the time. A few days before Halloween, I decided that it was sad that Edmund didn't have a costume, so I whipped up a Jedi robe. (Thank heavens for people online who give easy directions for people like me who have minimal sewing abilities.) I also bought a shirt and some fabric to wrap around like  tunic and belt. I was Wonder Woman. I made myself a blue tutu and wore a wonder woman t-shirt.

I learned this year that Idaho Falls is in the top ten cities nation wide for Trick or Treating. I believe it. Our neighborhood is incredible. It was packed with kids. I think we must have had almost 200 trick or treaters come to our house.

Halloween Party!

I love Halloween. I love the games, the costumes, the candy, the crisp fall air. It is such a fun time. We had a Halloween Party. It was not a costume party, but one kid showed up dressed up, so Jonathan and David dressed up too. They wrapped eachother up like mummies, ate donuts on a string, had a cake walk, a skeleton puzzle relay, and pin the bow tie on the skeleton, and a pinata. It has been the year of pinatas. I love making them. It is messy but easy and fun with little ones.
