Afternoon

The afternoon can get long some day, especially when you have two sick kids who want to be held. Too bad David, I couldn't even sit down with Caleb, so David just had to suffer. Jonathan showed unusual interest in his preschool workbook I have for him. He did about seven pages. Go Jonathan!

Volcanoes!

We have been having a volcano phase lately. David is a lover of volcanoes. We've been checking out at least three books on volcanoes every week from the library. David loves the fire, and he is always saying that the volcano burned things up. He knows about magma and lava and ash and earthquakes. He just loves them. Tuesday, I wanted to make a volcano with the boys. Then, I thought to myself, why not invite the neighbors and do it outside. Jonathan and I made play dough (I used 12 cups of flour!) and then we made red water and mixed in some dish soap. We took out some soda cans and vinegar and baking soda and water and play dough and made some very cool volcanoes. We learned that the more baking soda you use the bigger the blast. The volcanoes turned out very soda can shaped, but they were still very impressive. After we were done, the neighbor mom brought out Rice Krispies. Very yummy!

Just Livin'

We found an ancient unopened cream cheese in the fridge in the garage, and Edmund decided to make a mini cheese cake. We didn't have any graham crackers, so he used Teddy Grahams. He was very creative and the cheese cake was amazing!
Daddy is definitely the favorite at our house. David has been crying the past few days when Edmund leaves, and he asks about him all day!
Caleb got pink eye. This is day three on antibiotics, so you can hardly see it. He was much better even after one dose, so by day three he was nearly well. I couldn't believe how sick he was. Now, he has another cold. I was practicing my viola tonight, and my arms were sore from holding Caleb. It has been a week straight of him being sick.

David has been sleeping with this bucket and wearing it every chance he gets. He wears it all day! He had an ear infection two weeks ago, and he was so miserable and cranky for over the entire two weeks! I thought maybe I'd never get my funny David back. He's been normal the past two days, but it was sure a long two weeks of him being sick.

Jonathan gets up before the sun, so at 6:00 he is allowed to come in our room. We still like to pretend like we are sleeping, so we let him play with one of our tablets. David loves orange. He wants orange everything (bowls, straws, shirts, plates, jammies.) Jonathan wanted orange jammies too. I couldn't find any, but I found these at Walmart, and Jonathan was very happy.

Peek-A-Boo!

The puzzle was much easier to put together when all the pieces are blue. Who is that sneaking into the card table house?
Peek-A-Boo, Caleb!!

Museum of Western Colorado

I hadn't been to the museum of Western Colorado in a LONG time. I really drug my feet, but boy was I impressed. What a wonderful museum. It was very kid friendly. Theyhad this old stage coach, a mine to walk through, an airplane, a school room, an old telephone booth, and of course the tower where you can see the whole Grand Valley. I had forgotten what a super awesome town GJ is. I always knew it was where my heart was, but I had a new confirmation of its rich heritage!

I was walking by the school room, and bunny was sitting there all alone!

 David was tuckered out!

Bowling

My mom and I probably should have gotten bumpers. Luckily, she and I and Jonathan were on a lane together, so it was a close game!
