Cars

 I love it when the boys play together. They are doing so more and more. Jonathan doesn't always like David to play with his toys, but with a little encouragement he'll share. If David starts yelling, Jonathan goes and hides in his room, so sharing prevents David crying, and Jonathan likes that.

 He is hiding under the couch cushion. He thinks it is so funny!

 Jonathan loves watching the bus come in the morning.

 I asked Jonathan what his favorite toy was today, and he said, "Cars." Usually, I keep his cars in the basement, but it is so cold and dark down there that I prefer to just carry his cars upstairs, so we can enjoy a little more light if the sun happens to be shining. We read a story in the Friend about a little boy from the Ukraine. In the picture his cars are all lined up. Now, Jonathan always wants to line up his cars.

Family Pictures

 My friend Kathy's daughter Shelbie, Dash Photography, took our family pictures this year. She has a darling little studio in her basement that had a surprising number of options. Poor David was a very sleepy boy and quite mesmerized by the camera, so it was nearly impossible to get him to smile. Jonathan did really well. She had some toy cars that he was able to play with if he cooperated. Overall, I was very impressed.

Bus People

 

I love how quickly David is getting from one place to another. I took these pictures in pretty quick succession, and you can tell how much he just rolls from his belly to his back over and over again. He also likes to kick off of things. I guess this helps him get to his goal quicker. In this case his goal was the bus. I didn't get a picture fast enough of when he actually got the bus before Jonathan rushed over.

 Jonathan: "Take it!"

 Mommy: "Give him a new toy to play with. Don't put it on his back, he can't see it."

 Jonathan got these neat Playmobile people from Grandma Leemhuis, and he has enjoyed putting them in the bus.

 Jonathan: "Fireman in bus!"

Sitting Up!

David is sitting up!

 And falling over!
