I've been really excited about running lately. I feel so strong and so healthy! It is a remarkable thing. I can't believe I had a stroke 9 months ago and heart surgery 7 months ago, and here I am running a 5K! It really is a miracle. Sometimes I think it is really unfair how blessed I am. I'm not complaining, but there have been so many blessings and miracles in my life. Sometimes I just want to jump around and whoop for joy. I'm so glad that I have faith in Jesus Christ, and I know that he is my Savior. I usually don't like to say anything about religion, but I just feel like it is impossible not to right now when the hand of God feels so strong in my life.
I ran it in 29:20. Pretty slow really, but I actually came in second place for women!Jonathan and Edmund and David (who was refusing to leave the play ground) and Caleb were waiting for me close to the finish. Jonathan ran the last little bit with me!

Cinco de Mayo
We made pinatas for Cinco de Mayo. Really easy and really fun! Jonathan's is an Angry Bird and David wanted a car. (David wants everything to be a car.)
David loved his so much that he didn't want it to get broken. He wanted to wait so Dad could see it.
The mad scramble for the favorite candy.
David wins. He got the dots.

Jonathan loved Caleb. He is such a big help playing with him while I cook or clean. He even feeds him baby stars or yogurt drops. He sounds the alarm if Caleb gets too close to the stairs.
Jonathan and David loved feeding their bunny and bear in Caleb's room then laying them down to sleep in Caleb's crib. David then tells me I have to be quiet because his bunny is sleeping.
Can't get enough of this baby!
Jonathan made me a grocery list. I think it says cookies and capri suns.
Caleb is clapping from Jonathan's rhythm book.
The boys went out to play in the sand. I went to get a blanket to set Caleb on and when I came back, David was shirtless.
Smoking their "tiggers"
David drags his entire bed minus the mattress all over the house. Here he is taking a nap between the flights of stairs.

Sick. We have been sick so much! I think the record is 7 days of all being well since January. |
Fun!
Luckily, I try and send either my mom or Edmund a text message if the boys say something memorable. So here are a few.
We are going to pick up Jonathan at preschool and listening to "Caleb's Pick" (They rotate who gets to pick what we listen to.) which is Big Band. David starts laughing and asks, "What is that? that's silly!" He laughed and laughed.
David and I used to go to the library on Tuesday's while Jonathan is at preschool, but David likes to go with Jonathan. One morning I asked if he wanted to go to the library and David said, "I can't. There is smoke in my eyes. Fire and smoke!"
David dragged a chair over to the counter and climbed up so he could reach my pile of coins. He grabbed some pennies and said, "I'm getting some money for the mall!"
We were at the library and the boys were being so good, so I said, "Let's get donuts." Jonathan smiled and said, "Hey, that's a good idea, Mom!"
We eat fast food on Thursdays after preschool. I asked David where he wanted to go and he said, "McDonald Duck's!"
We were at the neighbor's house making bird feeders and David said, "Do you have any cars?" My neighbor said, "Yes, lots of cars." David said, "Are they hot wheels?" She said, "Yep, lots of hot wheels." Then she went and got a tub of about ten cars. David said, "Where are the rest of the cars?"

David loves pointing out everything on this poster and telling us what it is! "Da Yungs" |
I love this. Jonathan usually fills up every inch of paper, but here he did exactly half and just the splat on the other side. I feel like he is artistic. |
