The day before we left we went to Princess Park and splashed a little in the stream that ran through and took a small walk through the woods.

Just Hangin'
The boys got super worn out everyday and a few times just crashed on the couch. Judi is so nice and covers her couches with sheets, so there is less cat hair for me. The boys also spent every spare second chasing the cats around. Jonathan likes to feed them treats, and we had to keep a close watch on him because he was always getting them out and ruining the cats' dinner.
Uncle Jon and Edmund Tree Trimming
Uncle Jon and Edmund spent a morning trimming down a gigantic tree that was growing over the driveway. Little Jon and David were eager to help.
Birthday with Tanya
Tanya always spoils the boys and brings them presents and a birthday cake. We had fun blowing out candles and singing! Thanks Tanya!
John Lawson Park
We went to John Lawson park near the beach in West Vancouver. It was hot and wonderful. We had a picnic and then got some TCBY.
Stanley Park Splash Pad
After the Aquarium we went to the splash pad. Caleb fell asleep on the walk to the car, so I said, "I'll just walk. I'll probably beat you there." Edmund pointed the way, north, towards the splash pad, and I got walking. I turned south. I came down to the sea wall, and there was no park. I walked this way and that and asked a few people who were from Germany and England where I was. They had no idea, of course. I started texting Edmund who figured out I had turned the wrong way. Eventually, I came to a big map that had the park on it. (The maps the tourists had did not have the splash pad.) I walked back up to the Aquarium, which is in the middle of the park, and made my way north. It is nice to be an adult and know that even when I am lost, I will make it where I need to go eventually. The park is about 5 miles around, so I'm glad I at least was able to make it back without walking 5 miles.

Aquarium
Tanya waved her magic wand and got us free tickets to the Vancouver Aquarium! I love this place. It was so nice to have Grandma with us. She was able to go slow with Jonathan when he wanted to and tell him about all these wonderful ocean creatures. Jonathan loved the jellyfish best.
David is racing back and forth with the beluga whale. We went to the beluga show. It was fun to see the belugas play and splash all the people next to us.
Jonathan loved the tidal pool. He had no problem reaching his hand in and touching everything he could. David was a little more cautious.
Caleb thought it was pretty cool too!
