Monday

We had a small service for my brother Jonathan. He is buried right next to my grandparents and is going to share a grave with one of my parents. I miss him so much.

Wednesday

My nephew Ethan's birthday was on Wednesday, and Julia was sick! Ethan and Aiden brought over Legos to play with at Grandma-Chelle and Bubba's house. They also raked the leaves and played so nicely with my own little boys! Happy Birthday, Ethan!

Music

Judd had a party at his school. We all had a blast playing the instruments eating Subway sandwiches and watching YouTubes. It was really generous of Judd to let us do that. We had a lot of fun.

Dinosaur Valley

I don't think it is called Dinosaur Valley anymore, but that is what it was called when I was growing up. The boys loved the Dinosaurs. I was expecting David to be very scared of the moving dinosaurs, but he loved them. He ran around looking for all the buttons to push to animate the dinosaurs. He would just stand there and listen to them growl. He did not like the dinosaur that spit water. Jonathan didn't want to push the buttons, but he was happy to watch them move. They both loved the sand box (which used to be ground up walnut shells, but is now plastic things) and the water and the earthquake thing. We took Alexander and Eleanor. Jonathan couldn't stop talking about his cousin Zando.

Caleb is so cuddly! I just passed him around to all his aunties and Grandma-Chelle. It was a vacation for my arms!

More Snow

 David made a car shake.

It was freezing cold, but the boys loved the snow!

New Milestones

Caleb has started laughing. It is hilarious. I never know what is going to make him laugh, so it is fun to play with him and see what he likes. He is also rocking up on his side and getting close to rolling over. Go Caleb! Edmund and I decided that the CDC needs to put new milestones up on their developmental milestones page. Like, 2 weeks: Exploding poo. 3 months: grabbing your plate off the table and sending it into your lap. 2 years: Sticking his hand in his diaper to experience poop. 4 years: Pretending there are ghosts in the basement and scaring your brother to death.

David says the most adorable things. I forget most of them, but on Sunday I made some mint herbal tea for Jonathan. Edmund had a glass too, and when he picked it up to drink it, David cried dramatically, "No, Daddy, don't drink it! It's gross!" He also loves to say things that Jonathan says which sometimes drives Jonathan crazy. Jonathan always wants me to entertain him or take them on some errand, so he says "I want to go somewhere," pretty frequently. This morning it was 1 degree outside, and we were definitely spending the day inside. David said, "Mom, I want to go somewhere! I want to go to violin lesson!"

Cooking

I decided to make a pumpkin roll. I didn't have a jelly roll pan, but I did have this little guy.
 Yummy cream cheese frosting.
 Ready to roll.

 Nailed it!

My donuts did better. I ran out of powdered sugar, so they didn't get frosting. They did get a small dusting of the sugar that was left. Yummy!

Popcorn to keep the boys happy.
